1/16/08 - Tryouts

5/1/07 - The Silver Team won two out of three last weekend, 4/28-4/29, to take second place in their bracket at the Mission Rec Tournament in San Fransisco. Battling through the struggles of a completely reworked roster, the Magic found a way to win behind the long range accuracy of point guard Carly Gill, and the inside presence of Magic forward Kaitlin Kixmiller. Also providing support inside was power forward Briah Davis who, flanked by speedy guard Emma Eppley, is starting to show the improving chemistry of the young group. Rebekah Ent, an athletic forward who has converted to a guard this year, played well on both ends of the floor looking to spark her team with unrelenting hustle. Newcomers Allison Pehanick and Michelle Mayfield added some much needed size and shooting to the mix, and look to have more of an impact as the season rolls on.
Next weekend, 5/5-5/6, the Silver Team heads to Reno for the Pacific AAU District Championships. The first game is at 5 p.m. vs. the Santa Cruz Quakes on court 7, and the second game is at 7:40 p.m. vs. the Oroville Stunners on court 11. There will be one game on Sunday between 10:20 a.m. and 1 p.m.. On the Jam On It website, the bracket to check is 6L2 White. Scroll down for updated practice and tourney schedule.

April - The Orinda Magic Silver Team will now be competing as a 6th grade team for the remainder of the season.
The spring 2007 Orinda Magic
Silver Team has been selected, and the season is officially underway.
Head coach, Christina Ent, is very optimistic about developing these
girls into a strong team, and is excited about the group of young
players she will be working with this season. Tuesday, March 20th from 7-9 p.m. at Miramonte is the first practice. March 31-April 1 in Santa Rosa is the first tournament.
Regular practice time will be Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at
Miramonte. There will be 7 Bay Area tourneys (except Reno) between then
and the end of May. Fees for the spring are $800; this covers
tournament entry fees, practice gym fees, equipment, coaches and any
additional costs. Players who are new to the club will need to
purchase a uniform which costs an additional $100. Please make checks
out to Orinda Magic. Payments can be handed to either Darrell Sr. or Darrell Jr., or mailed to: Orinda Magic,
16 Ridge Ln., Orinda, CA, 94563. Please make payments or arrangements
